Patricia and Lester Wilson

Lester and Patricia Wilson of Topeka will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary on Tuesday.
Patricia Wilson Johnson and Lester Wilson met on a blind date arranged by Maxine Robinson. They were married Nov. 5, 1977, in Topeka.

Their six children and spouses are Donica and Mike Mason, Maryland; Ava and Otis Story, Alabama; Derek Barnes, Topeka; Bobby L. Johnson II, Atlanta; Darryl Johnson, Atlanta; and Floyd Johnson, Chicago.

They have 14 grandchildren, Monique Mason, Donica Mason, Bryonne Barnes, Derreka Barnes, Jasmyn Story, Avana Story, Prince James Story, Akin Joseph Johnson, Bobby Lovell Johnson III, William Phillips, Tymon Barnes, Vondell Johnson, Braden Johnson and Demetrius Johnson. Their grandson Prince Ontario Dominique Johnson is deceased.

Their great-grandchildren are Brejanee Phillips, Aionce Johnson, and Trevionce Johnson.

Mr. Wilson served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He retired Dec. 18, 1996, as a Youth Center at Topeka cottage parent after 38 years of service.

Mrs. Wilson retired Jan. 31, 2002, from Westar Energy after 22 years of service. She is a Mary Kay beauty consultant.

They are members of Eastside Church of Christ in Topeka.
