ZAROWITZ - SHORT
Amanda Christine Short and Joshua Harold Zarowitz were united in marriage on March 19, 2008, on Sunrise Beach, Nassau, Bahamas. The double ring ceremony was officiated by William Miller.
Amanda is the daughter of Annalee Short of Madison, W.Va., and the granddaughter of the late Rev. Cecil and Ora Neal Conley of Summersville, W.Va. She is a 2002 valedictorian graduate from Scott High School and a 2005 Summa Cum Laude graduate from the University of Charleston, Charleston, W.Va. Amanda earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a minor in Applied Leadership.
Joshua is the son of Mr. Ronald and Dr. Barbara J. Zarowitz and the grandson of Mrs. Barbara Zarowitz, all of Orchard Lake, Mich. Paternal grandfather was the late Dr. Harold Zarowitz of Brooklyn, N.Y. Maternal grandparents are Mr. Harold and Nancy Morrison of Ontario, Canada. He is a 2002 graduate of Detroit Country Day High School of Beverly Hills, Mich., and a 2006 graduate of Case Western Reserve University of Cleveland, Ohio. Joshua received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry and Sociology.
After a honeymoon at The Atlantis Hotel, Paradise Island, Bahamas, Amanda and Joshua returned to resume studies toward a doctorate degree from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine.
The couple would like to acknowledge their special appreciation to their sisters, Kate Zarowitz and Randi Leigh Huffman for a lifetime of support and friendship.
