Mary Ida and Richard Hinchsliff
Richard and Mary Ida Hinchsliff of Topeka will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary as guests of honor at a reception from 3 to 5:30 p.m. Feb. 3, 2002 at the Governor's Row House, 811 S.W. Buchanan.
Richard Hinchsliff and Mary Ida Parnell were married Feb. 3, 1952, at the Methodist Church in Perry.
Hosts will be their four children and their spouses, JoAnn and Terry Mrstik, Topeka; Karen and Scott Kiefat, Meriden; Leslie and Gary Anderson, Meriden; and Ray and Therese Hinchsliff, St. Peters, Mo.; and their seven grandchildren.
Mr. Hinchsliff retired in 1995 after 50 years of service as a cement finisher, but continues to work part-time.
Mrs. Hinchsliff retired in 1994 after 14 years of service in banking.
She is a homemaker.

She will be celebrating her 80th birthday along with her husband, Richard, and their children and their families with a dinner Friday, Jan. 3, 2014. Mary was born and raised in Perry. Following high school, she went to work for Santa Fe in the car service department as a ticket sorter. She became a homemaker, raised a family, went back to work at First State Bank & Trust, and retired from Core First Bank in Topeka after 13 years. She enjoys writing poetry, sewing, baking, spending time with her family, playing her piano and time she sang in the church choir.
