LIVINGSTON - TAYLOR
LaTausha Taylor and Asa “Ace” Livingston exchanged vows and united as one in Christ in the presence of close family and friends on Saturday, June 14, 2008, at the Ferguson Memorial Baptist Church in Dunbar.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Timothy and Valerie Taylor of Dunbar. LaTausha is a 1997 graduate of South Charleston High School; 2001 and 2005 graduate of Marshall University with a Bachelor in Business Administration (Management) and Masters of Science in Adult and Technical Education specializing in Training and Development. The groom is the son of Bishop Lloyd G.B. and Pastor Murine Livingston of New Britain, Conn. Asa is a 1992 graduate of E.C. Goodwin Technical High School and attended Central Connecticut State University; majored in Manufacturing Engineering. Asa also known as “Ace” is a professional Jazz Artist.
Elizabeth Orcutt was the matron of honor and Veronica Taylor was the maid of honor. Jason Chapman stood as best man. Serving as bridesmaids were Genesa Lacy, Maria Terrell, Yolanda Rollins, and Sheree Lambert.
Serving as groomsmen were Maurice Livingston, Neil Livingston, Michael Livingston, and Greg Lewis.
Flower girls were Kyara Terrell and Nadia Orcutt. Ringbearer was Tyren Taylor, nephew/godson of the bride.
Ushers were Tommy Orcutt and Tristan Wright. Hostess was Lauren Brown and Lisa Moten was the wedding coordinator. Valerie Taylor, mother of the bride, was the wedding planner and decorator.
The bride, wearing a spaghetti strapped beaded ivory wedding gown by Mary’s, was escorted down the aisle and given away by her father, Timothy Taylor Sr., to the song “When I First Saw you.” The song “My Angel” was recorded by the brother of the bride, Timothy Taylor Jr. and played during the ceremony. The Rt. Rev. E.A. Heyliger, Senior Pastor, and Bishop Lloyd G.B. Livingston officiated over the ceremony.
A dinner and dance reception was held immediately following the ceremony at the Charleston Civic Center. The guests enjoyed a delicious, elegant three-tier wedding cake with fountain and stairs by Hedy Scott; the groom's cake was a Jamaican black cake.
The newlyweds honeymooned on a seven day Western Caribbean cruise and are currently living in Bristol, Conn. LaTausha and Asa would especially like to thank her parents and everyone else who helped to make their wedding day a special day to remember.
