Bonsall 40th Anniversary
LUTHERSBURG - Mr. and Mrs. James (Jane) Bonsall of Luthersburg celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary Aug. 14, 2005.
He is a retired farmer from Brady Township.
She is a retired kindergarten school teacher in the DuBois School District.
A family dinner was held in their honor at Tommy D's.

(Obituary of James Bonsall: "James H. Bonsall, age 97, Bonsall Road, Luthersburg, Pa., died Thursday, Nov. 17, 2016, at Christ the King Manor. Born Sept. 16, 1919, in Brady Township, Pa., he was the son of the late Harry and Luella (Haag) Bonsall. He was a graduate of Brady Township High School, and a graduate of the DuBois Business College and the Pennsylvania State University. James was a veteran of the United States Navy having served in World War II. On Aug. 14, 1965, he married Jane Bonsall. She survives. He was a farmer by trade and loved to watch things grow, both plants and animals. He had also worked for Nelson's Nursery and Rockwell International Manufacturing. James was a member of Troutville Trinity United Church of Christ. He was a member of the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau, the Brady Grange, and the Garfield Lodge #559, Free and Accepted Masons. He was also a member of the Luthersburg Over 50 Club and the Sykesville American Legion. He was a past board member of United Electric. He enjoyed traveling, reading, and visiting with his friends and family. He is survived by four nieces: Kathy Hartzfeld and Nancy London and her husband, Harold, both of Punxsutawney, Pa., Margaret Bonsall of Youngstown, Ohio, and Becky Anderson and her husband, Richard of DuBois, Pa.; two great nieces and five great nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Louise Anderson; three brothers, infant David, Woodrow and Wallace Bonsall; and a nephew, Wally Bonsall. Visitation will be held today, Sunday, Nov. 20, 2016 from 1-4 p.m. at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home, and again, Monday morning, Nov. 21, 2016, from 10-10:45 a.m. from the Troutville Trinity United Church of Christ. A funeral service will be held on Monday, Nov. 21, 2016, at 11 a.m. from Troutville Trinity United Church of Christ with Pastor Barry Fillman officiating. Full military honors will be conducted by the members of the DuBois Area Honor Guard from the church. Burial will follow in Troutville Trinity United Church of Christ Cemetery. Memorials may be placed with the charity of the donor's choice.")
