VANCE - HARRIS
Sarah June Harris of Charleston and Jeffrey Kenneth Vance of Charleston were united in marriage on May 24, 2008, at Mount Tabor Methodist Church, with Pastor Danny Kinder officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Harris Jr. of St. Albans. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Harris Sr. of St. Albans. She is a 1997 graduate of St. Albans High School, 2002 graduate with AAS in Business from West Virginia State College and 2008 graduate from West Virginia State University with a BA in Psychology. She is employed by Damous Psychological Services as a Behavioral Specialist.
The groom is the son of Mrs. Judy Ray of Dunbar and the late James Vance. He is a 1992 graduate of London High School, London, Ohio. He is employed at the Residence Inn, Marriot, as a Sales Coordinator.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, Marvin and Linda Harris.
Serving as honor attendant was Emily Duffy, best friend of the bride. Brides- maids were Amy Trimble, cousin of the bride, Heather Barnhart, friend of the bride, Macaila Lamb, niece of the groom, Alicia Slater, niece of the groom, Tabitha Trent, best friend of the bride. Flower girls were MacKenzie Vance, daughter of the groom and Brianna Lamb, niece of the groom.
Best man was Jimmy Vance, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Jacob Vance, son of the groom, Gene Harris, brother of the bride, Michael Slater, nep-hew of the groom, Ben Atkins, friend of the couple, Josh Arbaugh, cousin of the bride. Ringbearer was Justin Lamb, nephew of the groom.
A reception was held in the Oak Room at Coonskin Park.
The couple spent an unforgettable week in Yosemite National Park in California where they hiked the whole week viewing beautiful mountain terrains, waterfalls, snow-capped mountains, giant sequoia trees and wildlife. The couple will reside in Charleston.
