Hynds 55th anniversary

BROCKWAY - Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Dale Hynds of Brockway celebrated their 55th anniversary Sept. 6, 2010.
Roberta Miller and Dale Hynds were united in marriage Sept. 6, 1955, in Hagerstown, Md.
He is retired from Fullington Trailways.
She is a homemaker.
They have two daughters, Debbie (Tom) Berlin and Sue Ann Matthew, both of Brockway; a son, Eddie (Suzanne) Hynds of Brockway; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
They celebrated with a family gathering.

(Obituary of Ernest Hynds: "Ernest Dale Hynds age 88 a life long resident of Maple Street Brockway, PA; passed away on Friday, September 29, 2017 at the Clarion Hospital. He was born April 23, 1929 in Coal Glen, the son of the late Alex and Helen Brownlee Hynds. He was married to Roberta Jean Miller on September 6, 1955 and she preceded him in death on May 22, 2013. Known to his family and friends as “PaPa” he was a retired bus driver for Continental Trailways and drove tractor trailer for Brocious Trucking. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and life member of the Brockway Volunteer Hose Company. He is survived by three children: Debbie (Thomas) Berlin, Eddie (Suzanne) Hynds and Sue Ann Matthews all of Brockway; six grandchildren: Jaime, Trisha, Jason, Angelina, Maria and Andrea; four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by three brothers: LeRoy, Richard and Robert Hynds. There will be no visitation or memorial service. Memorial donations may be made to the Brockway Volunteer Hose Company PO Box 253 Brockway, PA 15824. He will be buried along with his wife Roberta “NaNa” always and forever at Wildwood Cemetery in Brockway. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway.")
(Obituary of Roberta Hynds: "Roberta Jean Hynds, 78, of Brockway passed away May 22, 2013 at DuBois Regional Medical Center. She was born Nov. 16, 1934, in Brockway, a daughter of the late Robert James Miller and Genevieve Irene Bennett Miller. She was married to Ernest Dale Hynds Sept. 6, 1955, in Hagerstown, Md. He survives and lives in Brockway. Known to her friends and family as "NaNa," she was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family and taking care of her pets. She is also survived by a brother, James (Rella) Miller of Maine and a sister, Mary "MeMe" McKinley of Brookville; three children: Debbie (Thomas) Berlin, Eddie (Suzanne) Hynds and Sue Ann Matthews, all of Brockway; six grandchildren: Jaime, Andrea, Jason, Angelina, Maria and Trisha; three great-grandchildren: Alexis, Quinton and Liam; and several nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation or memorial services. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Hahne Cancer Center.")
