DUBOIS - Lamarr and Phyllis Kessler of DuBois celebrated their 60th anniversary Nov. 12, 2010.
They were married Nov. 12, 1950, at the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, DuBois, where they are both current members.
He retired from O-I Brockway after 37 years of service.
She is a homemaker.
They have two children, Marcia Kessler Hedges of DuBois and Dennis Kessler of Burlington, Mass.; and four grandchildren.
They celebrated with a dinner with family and friends at the Italian Oven.

(Obituary of Lamarr Kessler: "Lamarr Clair Kessler, 84, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2015, at his daughter's home. Born March 6, 1931, in Sandy Township, Pa., he was the son of the late Clair and Margaret "Peg" (Heatley) Kessler. Lamarr married Phyllis Shilling Kessler on Nov. 12, 1950, in DuBois, Pa. She preceded him in death on June 11, 2015. Lamarr graduated from Sandy High School in 1949. He worked at the Brockway Glass Company for 36 years, retiring in 1990. He was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in DuBois. He enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Pirates, especially Andrew McCutchen. Prior to his illness, he enjoyed playing the slots in Salamanca, Atlantic City, and Las Vegas. He was very proud of his four grandchildren, telling everyone of their accomplishments. Lamarr is survived by two children, Marcia D. Hedges of DuBois and Dennis L. (Luann) Kessler of Burlington, Mass.; four grandchildren, Meghan and Ryan Hedges, and Katelyn and Jonathan Kessler; a sister, Nancy (Lee) Myers of DuBois; a sister-in-law, Connie (Frank) Hughes of Lebanon, Pa.; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his two "special kids," Kolby and Kali Franklin. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brothers, Howard (infant), Gerald and Willis "Curly," and a niece, Tammy (Hughes) Johnson. Friends and family will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 22 and from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 23, at Adamson Funeral Chapel, Inc. in DuBois. A funeral service will follow the visitation on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral chapel with Pastor Kelley Schanely and Father Richard Seifer officiating. Interment will be in Lakelawn Memorial Park in Reynoldsville. Memorial donations may be made to Mt. (Obituary of Phyllis Kessler: "Phyllis Jane Shilling Kessler, 83, DuBois, passed away Thursday, June 11, 2015, at her daughter's home. Born Oct. 25, 1931, in Sigel Pa., she was the daughter of the late John and Midge Klouse Shilling. Phyllis married Lamarr C. Kessler Nov. 12, 1950, in DuBois, Pa. Phyllis graduated from Sandy High School in 1949. She had worked at J.C.Penney and Gray Printing. She was a member of Mount Zion United Methodist Church, DuBois. Phyllis was a people person and made friends wherever she went. She loved to cook, bake and was well-known for her raisin-filled cookies. She enjoyed porch time with her special friends. She loved to play cards and word games, but her greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren whom she was very proud of. Phyllis is survived by two children, Marcia D. Hedges of DuBois, and Dennis L. (LuAnn) Kessler of Boston, Mass.; four grandchildren: Megan and Ryan Hedges, Katelyn and Jonathan Kessler; her two special "kids," Kolby and Kali Franklin; a sister, Connie (Frank) Hughes; sister-in-law, Nancy (Lee) Myers; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
