Fillhart 50th Anniversary
PUNXSUTAWNEY — Eugene and Ruth (Dallenbach) Fillhart, RD3, Punxsutawney, celebrated their 50th anniversary Sept. 11, 2004.
They were married Sept. 11, 1954, in Sykesville.
He is retired from Doverspike Brothers Coal Company.
She is retired from the DuBois Village.
At a celebration held in their honor, they renewed their wedding vows with their son, Pastor Jim Fillhart, officiating.
They have three children: Gary Fillhart, RD3, Reynoldsville; Susan Guzzo, Rockton; Jim Fillhart, RD3, Punxsutawney; and nine grandchildren.

(Obituary of Eugene Fillhart: "Ira Eugene "Shorty" Fillhart, 81, of Punxsutawney, died Friday Jan. 2, 2015 , at his residence. He was born in Rathmel on Nov. 20, 1933, to the late Milo and Laura (Yohe) Fillhart. Shorty was married on Sept. 11, 1954, to Ruth M. Dallenbach Fillhart of Punxsutawney. She survives. He was an employee of Doverspike Brothers Coal Co., where he retired after 44 years of service. Shorty was an avid trout fisherman and loved Ford Mustangs, Cadillacs and being with his family. He also enjoyed his church family and fellowship dinners. He was a member of the Roseville Independent Chapel in Brookville, Pa. He is survived by two sons, Gary E. (Elaine) Fillhart of Reynoldsville and Rev. James A. (Susan) Fillhart of Punxsutawney; a daughter, Susan R. Guzzo of Rockton; nine grandchildren, Jason Fillhart and Kayla Schreckengost, Jakob, Luke and Jenna Fillhart, Joshua, Mike and Sherri Muth and Kati Guzzo; two great-grandchildren, Makahla and Hayden Fillhart; and a brother, Harold (Louise) Fillhart of Reynoldsville. In addition to his parents, Shorty was preceded in death by six brothers, Howard (Ben), William, Donald, Clifford, Thomas and Jack Fillhart; and two sisters, Lillian Sprague and Violet Males. Friends will be recieved from 5 to 9 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 4, 2015, at the Bernard P. Snyder Funeral Home in Reynoldsville. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Jan. 5, 2015, at the Roseville Independent Chapel in Brookville, with his son, Rev. James A. Fillhart, officiating.
