Sette 65th Anniversary
LOGAN, Ohio — Victor A. and Stephanie (Makofka) Sette of Logan, Ohio, are celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary with a small family gathering.
They were married Jan. 13, 1940, in DuBois.
He is retired from Carborundum Company.
They have four children: Edward Sette of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; Mrs. Pat (Leona) Young of Cincinnati, Ohio; Mrs. Greg (Patricia) Callendar of Logan, Ohio; and Mary Sette Hermes (deceased).
They also have eight grandchildren.

(Obituary of Stephanie Sette: "Stephanie Teresa Sette, 83, of Logan, Ohio, died Monday, March 13, 2006, in Hocking Valley Community Hospital, Logan, after an extended illness. Born Nov. 23, 1922, in DuBois, Penn., she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Mary (Wojtowicz) Makofka. She was married for 66 years to Victor Augustine Sette, who survives. Mrs. Sette was a homemaker and a member of St. John Catholic Church, Logan. Also surviving are one son, Edward V. (Louise) Sette of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; two daughters, Leona (Pat) Young of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Patricia (Greg) Callander of Logan; eight grandchildren, Fred V. Walter of Logan; Jessica Walter of Logan, Andrew Hermes of Cincinnati, Ann Marie Hermes of Tampa, Fla., Stephanie Young of Cincinnati, Katherine (James) Hamilton of Columbus, Ohio, Michael Sette of Columbus, and Jessica Lehman of Logan; one great-grandchild, Jason Kline Lehman of Logan; two sisters, Helen (Roy) LaBenne and Josephine (Tom) Carpin, both of DuBois, Penn.; and close friend and caregiver, Jodie Daubenmire. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Rita Hermes; and by three brothers and three sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Thursday, March 16 in St. John Catholic Church, Logan, with Monsignor William A. Dunn officiating. Burial is in Oak Grove Cemetery, Logan. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 15 at the funeral home, where a Christian Vigil Service is being held at 8 p.m.")
