Brossman 50th Anniversary
EASTON — Mr. and Mrs. Richard M. Brossman of Palmer Township, Easton, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Nov. 29, 2004 with a celebration at the Lester Pfeffer American Legion, hosted by their children.
The Brossmans were married Nov. 21, 1953, in the Brookville Methodist Church.
She is the former Louise Lindsey of Sigel.
Both are graduates of the Brookville High School Class of 1940.
She retired from the Northampton County College Bookstore.
He retired as the manager of Abstracting Company of Northampton County.
Both are active with the Calvary United Methodist Church Easton.
They have three children: Beverly Shay of Tampa, Fla., Robert Brossman of Fountain Hill and Lindsey Finken of Merrimack, N.H.; and six grandchildren.

(Obituary of Louise Brossman: "Louise Lindsey Brossman, 96, formerly of Palmer Township, PA, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2018. Born Nov. 2, 1922, in Sigel, PA, she was a daughter of the late Joel C. and Mary R. (Weirick) Lindsey. Her husband, Richard M. "Dick" Brossman, died last year. Louise worked for Northampton Community College for over 12 years and retired in 1987. She was a member of Green Pond United Methodist Church, a graduate of Churchman Business School and was active at the YWCA, Easton. Surviving are three children, Beverly Brossman Shay of Lutz, Fla.; Robert D. Brossman and his wife, Judy, of Bethlehem, PA; and Lindsey, wife of Scott Finken, of Merrimack, NH, and eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by nine siblings. Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 28, 2018, in Green Pond United Methodist Church, 4411 Green Pond Rd., Easton. A visitation will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. on Thursday in the Ashton Funeral Home, 1337 Northampton St., Easton. Interment in Northampton Memorial Shrine. (Obituary of Richard Brossman: "Richard M. "Dick" Brossman, 95, of Bethlehem Township, formerly of Palmer Township, PA, passed away on Friday, June 23, 2017. Born Feb. 10, 1922, in Canton, Ohio, Dick was a son of the late William G. and Cleo Mangas Brossman. He and his wife, Louise Lindsey Brossman, were married 63 years. Dick graduated from Penn State College of Communications in 1949. He was a retired Naval officer and served during World War II. He was also commissioned in the Naval Reserve for 20 years, and received a commendation from the Chief of Naval Personnel. Dick was the manager of ABCO Abstracting Company of Northampton County and retired in 1990. Prior to that, he was a reporter for The Easton Express. He was a member of Green Pond United Methodist Church where he sang in the choir, and was president of trustees and chairman of the administrative board and building committees. As a member of the Palmer Township Lions Club, he served as the first membership chairman of the Palmer community swimming pool. He was a member of the U.S. Naval Institute and the Military Officers Association. Dick also sang in barbershop quartets, and enjoyed photography and writing. Surviving with his wife, Louise, are three children, Beverly Brossman Shay of Lutz, FL; Robert D. Brossman and his wife, Judith of Bethlehem, and Lindsey Finken and her husband, Scott of Merrimack, NH; a sister, Phyllis Hood of Freedom, PA, and eight grandchildren. His sister, Billie R.
