Hilliard 50th Anniversary

DuBOIS — Donald and Donna (Dunlap) Hilliard of DuBois are celebrating their 50th anniversary.

They were married April 23, 1954, in DuBois.

He is retired from Triangle Auto Springs.

She is retired from Penn Traffic Company/Riverside Division.

The couple have three children: David of Bethesda, Ohio, Diane Dixon of Beaver Falls and Darla Kahle of Treasure Lake, DuBois, and one grandson.

The family will celebrate the occasion in June 2004.

(Obituary of Donald Hilliard: "Donald Eugene Hilliard, 82, of DuBois died on January, 2, 2011, after a lengthy illness. Born May, 13, 1928 in DuBois, he was the son of the late Joseph J. Hilliard, Sr. and Annie (Hendricks) Hilliard. He was married to Donna Jean (Dunlap) Hilliard on April 23, 1954, who survives. He had been a member of the DuBois Christian and Missionary Alliance Church for 51 years having served as a Sunday School Teacher, on the Executive Board and Board of Elders. Mr. Hilliard worked several years at Rockwell International and retired from Triangle Auto Spring Corp. after 31 years as a machinist. He had proudly served his country as Staff Sgt. In the 323rd L.E. Army Combat Engineers during the Korean War. Mr. Hilliard is also survived by one son; Dr. David (Sharyl) Hilliard of Bethesda, Ohio and two daughters; Mrs. Diane (Charles) Dixon of Darlington, PA and Mrs. Darla (Thomas) Kahle of Treasure Lake and one beloved grandson. He was preceded in death by four brothers; Sharrets, William, James and Joseph, Jr and five sisters; Charlotte Lewis, Kathryn Kline, Ruth Allshouse, Nellie Hough and Grace Indre. Friends will be received from 10:00 AM until the hour of services at the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in DuBois. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday at the church with Rev. Tim Connor officiating. Full military honors will be accorded by the DuBois Area Honor Guard. Interment will be in Beechwoods Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made in Donald's honor to the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, Missionary Fund, 1004 South Main St., DuBois, PA 15801. Mohney-Yargar Funeral Chapel, Inc., is in charge of the arrangements.")
