Tatters 60th Anniversary

DuBOIS — Mr. and Mrs. William Tatters of DuBois celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary May 18, 2004.

William Tatters and Joann Leach were married May 18, 1944, in Colorado Springs, Colo.

She is a homemaker and enjoys reading.

He retired in 1986 from DuBois Powdered Metal as the maintenance supervisor and was also a mechanic for several years.

Both enjoy antique cars and camping.

They are active members of the First United Presbyterian Church in DuBois.

They are planning a family celebration at Quinton’s Restaurant in DuBois.

(Obituary of Joann Tatters: "A. Joann Tatters, 93, died on Saturday, July 16, 2016, at Highland View in Brockway, Pa. Born Sunday, Oct. 22, 1922, in Reynoldsville, Pa., she was the daughter of the late T. Meade Leach and the late Mary (Morrison) Leach. She was the wife of the late William E. Tatters. She was a loving wife and aunt. She loved being outdoors and went camping often.
She enjoyed antique cars and was an active member in the car clubs. Surviving are sister, Ruth Engele of Brookville, Pa.; sister-in-law, Irene Peterson; nieces Sandra Dunlap (Jim) of DuBois, Pa., Diane Damus of New Jersey and Myrna Haines of Reynoldsville, Pa.; nephew, Tomas Engele (Shirley) of Alabama; and many grand- and great-grand nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by brother, Robert C. Leach. The family will receive friends from 10–11 a.m. Wednesday, July 20, 2016, at Bernard P. Snyder Funeral Home Inc., 206 E. Main Street, Reynoldsville, Pa. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Sarah Sedgwick officiating. Interment will be in Lakelawn Memorial Park, Reynoldsville, Pa.")
