Rishell 60th Anniversary
DuBOIS - Mr. and Mrs. Jess Rishell of DuBois will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary July 31, 2004.
Jess Rishell and Ruth Marley were married July 31, 1944, in Brockway at the Methodist church by the Rev. Tom Johnson.
They have one daughter, Mrs. Larry (Peggy) Fitzpatrick of DuBois; one son, Greg Rishell of DuBois; and four granddaughters.
A family celebration will be held to honor the occasion.

(Obituary of Jess Rishell: "Jess E. Rishell, age 84, of Alida Avenue in DuBois, PA diedJune 15, 2010 at his residence. He was born July 31, 1925 in DuBois, PA. He was the son of the late Birt and Lena (Boyer) Rishell. He married Ruth E. Marley on July 31, 1944. She survives and lives in DuBois, PA. They celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary in July of 2009. He was a Sergeant in World War II, serving in the U.S. Army Air Force, participating in the Pacific Campaign (The Burma Hump). He retired from the CSX railroad following forty one years of service. He recently received his sixty year pin from the United Transportation Union. He was a lifetime member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church where he acted as an usher, trustee and a member of Young at Heart. He was also a member of the DuBois Historical Society, George D. Montgomery American Legion Post 17 and the James J. Patterson Post 813 Veterans of Foreign Wars. He is survived by a daughter, Peggy Fitzpatrick of Treasure Lake, DuBois, PA and a son, Greg Rishell and his wife, Barb of DuBois, PA, and four granddaughters. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Raymond. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. from the Goble Baronick Funeral Home. The DuBois Area Honor Guard will conduct a ritual service on June 17 at 12:45 p.m. from the funeral home. A funeral service will be held on June 17 at 1:15 p.m. at the Goble Baronick Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Lindahl officiating. Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery where full military honors will be accorded by the members of the DuBois Area Honor Guard.
