Reitz 50th Anniversary
SUMMERVILLE — Mr. and Mrs. A. Lee Reitz of Summerville celebrated their golden wedding anniversary June 5.
An open house will be held Saturday, June 12, in the Stanton United Methodist Church.
The celebration will begin at 1 p.m. when the couple will renew their wedding vows, with refreshments to be served at 2 p.m.
The couple has requested no gifts.
A. Lee Reitz and Mary Kathryn Hummel were married June 5, 1954, in the Summerville United Methodist Church.
The Rev. H. H. Thompson performed the ceremony.
She is a housewife and served as secretary for Beaver Township for 30 years.
He operated the family-owned farm, retiring in 1997.
They have six children: Douglas A. Reitz, deceased; Ginger Mahle of Summerville, Michael Reitz of Brookville, Jeffery Reitz of Summerville, Pamela Richter of Marienville and Rodney Reitz of Summerville and eight grandchildren.
