STEWART - HEISHMAN
Miss Sarah Ann Stewart and James Ogden Heishman were united in marriage on Saturday, April 12, 2008 at half past four in the afternoon at St. Marks United Methodist Church in Charleston, WV.
The ceremony was officiated by Rev. Monty Brown. Music for the ceremony was provided by Jamie Atkins and Trip Showen.
Ms. Allison Westlund of Arlington, VA, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Alisa Caruso, Hilton Head, SC, Mrs. Becky Timmons, Morgantown, WV, Ms. Sarah Reid, Charleston, Ms. Stacy Evans, Long Island, NY, Ms. Mary Burns, Roanoke, VA.
Best man for the groom was Joseph Vincell of Moorefield. Groomsmen were Ben Henshaw, Sturgis, KY, Phillip Canfield, Powell, OH, Anthony Vertalino, New Brighton, MN, Justin Williams, Moorefield, and Joshua Arose, Strasburg, VA. Ushers were Robert Stewart, brother of the bride, and Phillip Estep, cousin of the bride. Master James Vincell was the ring bearer.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a strapless Casablanca gown featuring crystal-beaded embroidery throughout the bodice and extending throughout the length of the train. The bride's veil, handmade by her grandmother, was trimmed in the same crystal-beaded embroidery. The new Mrs. Heishman is the daughter of Rev. and Mrs. Jay Parkins of Belle, WV, and Mr. Garry R. Stewart of Cross Lanes, WV. She is a graduate of West Virginia University with a B. A. in Chemistry and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from WVU College of Law. She is presently employed as the law clerk to the Honorable Judge Donald H. Cookman in the 22nd Judicial Circuit.
Mr. Heishman is the son of Mr. and Mrs. David Ogden Heishman of Moorefield. He received his bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Kentucky and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from WVU College of Law. He is presently assisting in the family business as business manager of the R. E. Fisher Company, Inc. and was recently appointed assistant to Hardy County Prosecuting Attorney, Lucas See.
Following the ceremony a dinner and dance were held at the Charleston Womens Club. The couple honeymooned in Cancun, Mexico.
The Heishmans now reside in Moorefield.
