HENDERSON 45th ANNIVERSARY
NEW BETHLEHEM - Wayne and Lillian Henderson of New Bethlehem celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary Sunday, June 27, 2004 at their home.
The former Lillian "Lill" McPherson and Wayne K. Henderson were united in marriage June 27, 1959 in the Bethany Covenant Church in DuBois, with the Rev. James W. Burford officiating.
Best man for the couple was the late William A. Henderson, brother of the groom and Matron of Honor was Mrs. William A. (Edith) Henderson, sister-in-law of the groom.
Mrs. Henderson is the daughter of the late L. June (Smith) McPherson and Ernest D. McPherson of Reynoldsville. Mr. Henderson is the son of the late Albert W. Henderson and Helen G. (Young) Henderson formerly of South Bethlehem.
The Hendersons have one daughter, Mrs. Lex, (Tammy) Brown and two grandchildren, Ashley and Matt Brown, all of New Bethlehem.
The couple's daughter and her family hosted a combination anniversary celebration for her parents and high school graduation party for her daughter, Ashley Brown.
Mrs. Henderson is a homemaker who enjoys flowers, collecting animal print items and spending time with her family and friends.
Mr. Henderson worked at Crawford Furniture for 23 years before becoming a heavy equipment operator. He enjoys NASCAR races and his boxer, Duke. He also enjoys being with his friends and family.
