ANDERSON 40th ANNIVERSARY
NEW BETHLEHEM - Fred and Sandy Anderson will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary on Saturday, Sept. 4, 2004, at their home in New Bethlehem. The affair will be hosted by their children and grandchildren.
Fred Anderson, son of the late William and Florence Anderson, formerly of Clearfield, married Sandra Soliday, the daughter of Emily H. Soliday of Beverly Healthcare in Clarion and the late Warren Soliday, formerly of Fairmount City on Sept. 5, 1964 in the St. Francis Catholic Church in Clearfield with the Monsignor Martin Glenn officiating.
Mrs. Anderson is a substitute teacher at the Riverview Intermediate Unit of Clarion and is involved with the Gathering Guild, an area herb club. Mr. Anderson is retired, although he "clowns around" as "Fleebus the Clown" in local parades. He is also a member of the Planning Commission.
The Andersons enjoy gardening, traveling, relaxing at the beach and spending time with their family.
They are members of St. Charles Catholic Church.
The couple has four children: Brian Anderson and his wife, Karen, of New Bethlehem, Tom Anderson, and his wife, Aimee, of Elizabethtown, Greg Anderson and his wife, Mary, of Simsburg, Conn., and a daughter, Erin Schuetz and her husband, Kevin, of Fairmount City.
They also have three grandchildren, Emily, Ryan and Julia.
In addition to the party, the Andersons will celebrate their anniversary with a trip to Spain at the end of September.
