Aimee Nicole Bauer, the daughter of Mike and Susan Bauer of Pawnee Rock, and Jason Manford
Riegel, son of Melissa Riegel of Wichita and Jeff Riegel of Great Bend, were united in marriage Oct. 25, 2003 at First United Congregational United Church of Christ of Great Bend.
The Rev. Diana Coberly officiated the double-ring ceremony.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a two-piece white matte satin gown.
The off-the-shoulder top featured a basque waistline ending in a tulip scallop edging.
It was embellished with a floral and vine motif embroidered in gold thread and accented with tiny beads, seed pearls, sequins and Austrian crystals.
The semi-full ballroom skirt swept into its own double pleated chapel-length train.
Her head was adorned with a double banded tiara accented with pearls, crystals and leaf-shaped sequins and a bridal white elbow -length veil.
She carried a hand-tied bouquet of long stem red roses, red hypericum berries and seeded eucalyptus tied with white and gold ribbon.
Maid of honor was Allyson Gilmore of Hays.
Maiden of honor was Abra Riegel of Great Bend, sister of the groom.
Bridesmaids were Shayla Meier of Manhattan, Amy Kruckenberg of Hutchinson, Erica Drummond of Lawrence.
They wore two-piece ruby gowns featuring off-the-shoulder shimmering lurex tops over A-line satin skirts.
They carried hand-tied bouquets of long stemmed white roses, red hypericum berries and white wax flowers accented with ruby, gold and white ribbon.
Best man was Zak Witt of Salina.
Groomsmen were Bryce Riegel of Great Bend, brother of the groom, Mike Satterlee of Manhattan, and Grant Bauer of Pawnee Rock, brother of the bride.
Ushers were Trent Bauer of Pawnee Rock, cousin of the bride, Grant Bauer and Mike Satterlee.
Flower girl was Taylor Gillespie of St. John.
Ring bearer was Max Garrett of Lawrence, both cousins of the bride.
Musicians were Rhonda Weininger of Great Bend, organist and pianist.
Grandparents of the couple are Glenn Fischer of Great Bend and the late Dorothy Fischer, Roy Jr. and Georgiann Bauer of Pawnee Rock, Colleen Riegel of Great Bend and Delbert and Martha Tuttle of Quinter.
Great-grandmother is Katie Bauer of Great Bend.
The bride is a 2000 graduate of Great Bend High School and is pursuing a doctorate in physical therapy from the Kansas University Medical Center.
She will graduate in May from the University of Kansas.
She is employed by Lawrence Therapy Services, LLC of Lawrence.
The groom is a 1999 graduate of Great Bend High School and will graduate from the University of Kansas in May with a bachelor’s degree in psychology.
He is employed by D&D Tire of Lawrence.
The couple reside in Lawrence.
