Johann - 50th
Mr. and Mrs. Pete Edward Johann of Hannibal will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception hosted by their children and grandchildren from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 7, 2001, at Grace Covenant Baptist Church, 3725 West Ely Road, Hannibal.
Dorothy Margaret Martin and Pete Edward Johann were united in marriage on Dec. 26, 1950, at the home of the bride's parents in rural Hull, Ill.
The Rev. John Golden officiated.
Attendants were Robert and Ora Lee Martin, brother and sister-in-law of the bride.
Mrs. Johann is the daughter of the late Virgil W. and Elizabeth M. Bonnett Martin.
Mr. Johann is the son of the late Henry A. and Lottie Mae Epley Johann.
They are the parents of five children, Kathy Wilson and Susan Tourney, both of New London, Barbara Funkenbusch of Palmyra, Frank E. Johann of Hannibal and the late Debbie Spurling. They have 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Mr. Johann is a former truck driver for Standard Printing Co., and attends auctions.
Mrs. Johann is a housewife, a member of Grace Covenant Baptist Church and does handiwork.
They raise cattle and enjoy their grandchildren.
Friends and relatives are invited to the reception.
