Dryden - Leiker
Joyce Ann Leiker, daughter of Joseph and Erlene Leiker of Olathe, and Mark Blair Dryden, son of
Richard and Patricia Leach of Fisher and John and Valerie Dryden of Grosse Pointe Farms, Mich., were
married Sept. 13, 2003 at Church of the Ascension in Overland Park.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a satin gown with silk organza overlay.
The bodice was beaded with clusters of pearls, rhinestones and crystals.
The gown also featured a silk jacket with matching beading on the cuffs.
She wore a headband adorned with pearls, crystals and rhinestones and a cathedral length veil embellished with crystals and carried an elongated bouquet of calla lilies, bells of Ireland, aranda orchids, hydrangea and garden roses.
The Rev. Gary Pennings officiated the double ring ceremony.
Matron of honor was Jolene Hall of Danbury, Conn.
Maid of honor was Laurie Leiker of Overland Park.
Bridesmaids were Mary Beth Krantz of New York, N.Y., and Janet Arensberg of Prairie Village.
They wore sky blue floor length gowns with halter necklines and crystal beading at the waistline and carried smaller bouquets similar to the bride.
Best man was Bryce Dryden of Acworth, Ga.
Groomsmen were Bruce King and Andrew Carey, both of Indianapolis, Ind., and Mark Makielski of Edwardsburg, Mich.
Ushers were Ted Lischer of Leawood, John Folkers of West Lafayette, Ind., and Peter Keck of East Troy, Wis.
Organist was Jennifer Konzem of Overland Park.
Vocalist was Holly Cole of Bloomington, Ind.
Music was also provided by the Brookside String and trumpeter, Jim Spencer, all of Kansas City, Mo.
The bride is a graduate of Great Bend High School and the University of Kansas with a bachelor of science degree in accounting and business administration.
She is employed as director of finance for McDonald’s Corporation in Overland Park.
The groom is a graduate of North Central High School in Indianapolis and Purdue University in Layfayette, Ind., with a bachelor of science degree in finance.
He is quality control representative for Eli Lilly and Company in Indianapolis.
The couple resides in Overland Park.
Joyce Leiker is a graduate from Great Bend High School as well as a graduate from the University of Kansas, with a bachelor of science in accounting and business administration.
Joyce is an employed by the McDonald’s Corporation in Overland Park as a director of finance.
Mark Dryden is a graduate of North Central High School in Indianapolis, Ind., and was employed by Eli Lilly and Company in Indianapolis, Ind., as a Quality Control Representative.
The couple now resides in Overland Park.
