Aylward - Schneider
Janel Schneider, daughter of Norbert and Terry Schneider of Hoisington, and Montgomery Aylward, son of Mike and Jan Aylward of Hoisington, were united in marriage Sept. 20, 2003 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church of Olmitz.
Father Ultan Murphy officiated the double-ring ceremony.
Grandparents of the bride are Twilla Brack of Hoisington and the late Ralph Brack and Paul Schneider of Olmitz and the late Rose Schneider.
The groom’s grandparents are Velma McMillin of Hoisington and the late H.D. McMillin, and Eleanor Aylward and the late Francis Aylward.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white matte satin strapless princess-cut gown with laced piping and beaded decoration; buttons down the bodice led to a carriage back with a finished tulle overlay cathedral train.
Her head was adorned with a crystal tiara featuring a fingertip veil that was decorated with pearls and clear sequins.
She carried a bouquet of two-dozen black magic roses that was tied with white satin ribbon.
Her attendants wore wine colored European satin strapless gowns with iridescent organza trim bordering the top and hem.
Matron of Honor was Jamie Klug of Newton.
Bridesmaids were Darcie Schneider, Erin Schneider and Jeri Aylward, all of Hoisington, Noelle Beuke of Overland Park, and Michelle Hoover of Manhattan.
Best man was Michael Aylward of Hoisington.
Groomsmen were Darren Klug of Newton, Charley Smith of Emporia, Michael Irwin of Great Bend, Troy Steiner of Hays, and Matt Reif of Taylor Ridge, Ill.
Ushers were Matt Schneider of Salina, Tony Chambers of Hoisington, Jimmy Aylward of Goddard, Patrick Pape of Clearwater, and Matt Pape of Norwich.
The Flower girl was Jayden Wren of Denver, Colo. and the ring bearer was Calahan Smith of Emporia.
Andy and Ellen Bone of Saginaw, Texas, were the candle lighters.
Organist was JoLana Pinon of Topeka and vocalist was Anne Maxwell of Andale.
The bride is a graduate of Hoisington High School and Kansas State University.
She is assistant product manager at Hopkins Manufacturing in Emporia.
The groom is a graduate of Hoisington High School and of Emporia State University.
He is currently employed by the United Parcel Service of Emporia.
The couple resides in Emporia.
