Ramirez - Butler
Breanna Butler, the daughter of Roger and Leesa Butler of Great Bend, and Fernando Ramirez, the son
of Carmen Ramirez of Great Bend and the late Rogelio Ramirez, were united in marriage on June 28, 2003 at First Christian Church of Great Bend.
The Rev. William Johnson officiated the ceremony.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an elegant diamond white matte satin gown featuring a strapless bustier fully embellished with delicate beadwork.
The full ballroom skirt swept into its own chapel train and featured a border of matching beadwork and a large detailed beaded motif at the back of the train.
Her head was adorned with a pearl and crystal tiara holding a wrist length bridal illusion veil.
She carried a bouquet of lavender stock, pink Dutch spray roses, white stephanotis and English ivy.
The hand-tied bouquet was finished with a double faced white satin ribbon.
Maid of honor was Aubree Moore of Lawrence, cousin of the bride.
Bridesmaids were Lacey Moore of Great Bend, cousin of the bride, Abby Shirk of Lawrence, Jennifer Noffsinger of Hays and Sabrina Jensen of Albuquerque, N.M.
They wore two-piece strapless lavender gowns with a-line floor length skirts.
The bodices were embellished with silver beading and were laced in the back.
They carried bouquets of white stock, stephanotis and English ivy.
Best man was George Ramirez of Great Bend, brother of the groom.
Groomsmen were Anthony Ramirez of Great Bend, brother of the groom, Rigo Ramirez of Boston, Mass., cousin of the groom, Caden Butler and Skyler Butler, both of Great Bend and both brothers of the bride.
Ushers were Jesse Moore of Great Bend, cousin of the bride, and Caden and Skyler Butler.
Flower girls were Cassie Pauls of Wichita, cousin of the bride and Emma LaPinta of Newton, cousin of the bride.
Ringbearer was Darian Guerra of Great Bend, cousin of the groom.
Taper lighters were Miguel Ramirez of Great Bend, brother of the groom, and Crystal Guerra of Great Bend, cousin of the groom.
Music was provided by Connie Weiser, organ and piano, Erin Aguirre, violin and J.B. Webster, trumpet, all of Great Bend.
Vocalists were Shelly Alefs of Hays and Brian Pinkall and Dan Hedlund, both of Great Bend.
The bride is a 1998 graduate of Great Bend High School and a 2003 graduate of Fort Hays State University, majoring in physical education and Spanish.
She plans to be a student teacher this fall at Gardner.
The groom is a 1999 graduate of GBHS and a 2003 graduate of FHSU, majoring in business administration.
He is employed by Sprint of Overland Park.
