Kristen Heather Krug, the daughter of Dr. John and Donna Krug of Great Bend and L. Arthur Baker, Jr., the son of Lewis A. and Clarita Baker of Strong City were united in marriage on Dec. 28, 2002, at Trinity Lutheran Church of Great Bend.
The Rev. Gary Teske of Lawrence, officiated the double ring ceremony.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Her two piece matte satin gown featured an asymmetrical drape across the strapless bodice.
The bodice and back insert of the skirt were embellished with beads, pearls and lace.
The skirt and train had a scalloped lace and beadwork edge.
Her head was adorned with a fingertip veil, attached to a beaded headband.
She carried a nosegay bouquet featuring red roses, babies breath and holiday greenery.
Maid of honor was Katie Teske of Lawrence.
Bridesmaids were Alanna Stamm of Washington, cousin of the bride, Russett Switzer of Taylor, Neb., and Regina Reith of Linn.
They wore strapless sheath dresses made of black stretch satin fabric.
They had red satin crepe shawls and carried single roses embellished with silver and greenery.
The brides personal attendants included Kiley Metro of Emporia, and Kirsten Samson of Lindsborg.
The best man was Brad Ingalls of Strong City.
Groomsmen were Dave Griffin, and Kip Wilson, both from Strong City, and Adam Krug, brother of the bride.
Ushers were Kyle Hardy of Wichita, cousin of the bride, John Nowak of Hays, cousin of the groom, Jeremy Warner of Great Bend and Brian Muller of Wichita.
Flower girls were Tori and Lillie Krug of Burleson, Texas, cousins of the bride.
Their dresses, made by the brides mother, featured black velvet bodices and red satin backed crepe skirts.
They carried fur muffs.
Ringbearers were Austin Krug of Topeka, and Baxter Krug of Burleson, cousins of the bride.
Lighting the candles were Matt Krug, brother of the bride and Derrek Zietz of Strong City, cousin of the groom.
Music was provided by pianist, Erinn Hardy of Goodland, cousin of the bride; and trumpeters, Kyle Hardy and Mike Dreier of Lindsborg.
The vocalists were Amanda Edington of Hillsboro and Darin McCarter of Lawrence.
The bride graduated in December 2002 from Bethany College, with a degree in chemistry education.
She is teaching chemistry and biology at Great Bend High School.
She is the granddaughter of Margaret Krug of Hoisington, Paul Meyer of Hanover, the late Bob Krug and the late Helen Meyer.
The groom graduated from McPherson College with a degree in elementary education.
He is teaching sixth grade at Jefferson Elementary in Great Bend.
