Meredith Zimmerman, the daughter of Joey and Sara Zimmerman of Great Bend, and Jeremy Dutton,
the son of Gary and Sara Dutton of Salina, were united in marriage on Aug. 31, 2002, at Trinity Lutheran Church of Great Bend.
The Revs. Shawn Winters and David Carlson officiated the double ring ceremony.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
She wore a white matte satin gown styled in a strapless drop-waist silhouette featuring a Victorian lace up back detail, all fully embellished in pearled and sequined re-embroidered alencon lace medallions.
Her full ballroom skirt swept into its own semicathedral train, accentuated by a border of matching scalloped hem lace.
Her head was adorned with a cathedral length sheer illusion bridal veil with an elbow length bridal topper veil and blusher.
She carried a handheld tied bouquet of white calla lilies.
Maids of honor were Georgia Zimmerman of Great Bend and Jennifer Elliott of Lawrence.
Bridesmaids were Michelle Sumner of Ellsworth, Lindsay Behnke of Wichita and Meredith Butler of Kansas City.
They wore two-piece black dresses with a tank style top and a floor length skirt with a black and white train.
Best man was Matt Dutton of Hoisington.
Groomsmen were Joel Mason and Kevin Linsner, both of Hoisington, Ryan Bates of Hays and Matt Behnke of Wichita.
Ushers were Jared Zimmerman and Brent Zimmerman, both of Great Bend, Chad Kline of McPherson and Jason Goetz of Dodge City.
Flower girl was Libby Schneider of Logan.
Ringbearer was Austin Shelby of Shawnee.
Taperlighter was Landon Schneider of Logan.
Music was provided by organist, Coralie Button and vocalists, Jerod Gorney and Alisha Erwin.
The bride was a 1999 graduate of Great Bend High School and plans to graduate in May 2003 from Baker University School of Nursing.
The groom is a graduate of Hoisington High School and Barton County Community
College.
He is employed by Storemont-Vail Hospital of Topeka.
They live in Topeka.
