Kathleen Ann Finnesy, daughter of Joe and Mildred Finnesy of Russell, and James Richard Waitt, son of Betty Waitt of Great Bend, were united in marriage March 16, 2002 at Camp Aldrich in Claflin.
The Rev. John Grummon officiated the double-ring ceremony.
The bride was escorted by her father.
She wore an A-line ivory gown with cathedral length train, designed by Oleg Cassini.
The bodice and sleeves were accented with pearl beading and sequins.
She was adorned with a pearl beaded crown with fingertip veil.
She carried a bouquet of red silk roses and ivory carnations, designed by her sister, Karen Polson.
Matron of honor was Karen Polson, sister of the bride, of Manhattan.
Best man was Gary Waitt, brother of the groom, of Topeka. Ushers were Bradley Polson, brother-in-law of the bride, of Manhattan, and Bruce Ney, friend of the bride, of Lawrence.

The bride is a graduate of Russell High School and Kansas State University.
She is employed at CPI Qualified Plan Consultants.
The groom is a graduate of Great Bend High School and is attending Barton County Community College.
He is employed by BCCC.
