Christina E. Glenn, daughter of Bob and Elaine Grabhorn of Great Bend and Darin M. Johnson, son of Jim and Judy Johnson, were united in marriage May 5, 2001 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Great Bend with the Rev. Warren Stecklein officiating.
The grandmothers were Mary Lou Wheeler and Margaret Prosser, both of Great Bend, and Hilda Johnson of Larned.
The bridal gown was bridal white matte satin fashioned in an elegant empire silhouette and featured three quarter length sheer lace sleeves and a scooped neckline all fully embellished in beaded re-embroidered alencon lace.
Here slightly flared skirt swept into its own chapel train and was bordered in a very deeply scalloped matching alencon lace.
The brides bouquet had tied stems with flowing ribbons, nosegay style containing the following flowers: pink roses, lavender monte, misty blue, yellow asters, peach lilies, lavender spoon daisies, and carnations.
The maid of honor was Kelly House of Great Bend.
The brides maids were Misty Irvin of Inman and Amy Pharis of Wichita.
The brides maids dresses were frosted pink matte satin two piece floor length gowns, embroidered bodices, and matching embroidered stoles.
Their bouquets were tied stems, ribbons and multi-colored flowers similar to the brides.
The best man was Curtis Kuhn of Great Bend.
The groomsmen were Scott Ensle of Topeka and Matthew Hickel of Great Bend.
The ushers were Cory Johnson of Larned and Ryan Bussman of Hays.
The music was provided by Erin Birkestrand of Great Bend, who played the violin; Senior Strings Ensemble of Great Bend, directed by Birkestrand; and Mindy North of Great Bend, who is a vocalist.
The groom is employed at A-One Automotive in Great Bend.
