Ticel - Schenkel

Leilani L. Ticel and Scott A. Schenkel, both of Great Bend, were united in marriage Feb. 20, 2001.

Ticel, the daughter of Jim and Mildred Carson of Hoisington, is a graduate of Hoisington High School, Barton County Community College and Creighton University Pre-hospital education in Omaha, Neb.

She is employed by Central Kansas Medical Center, St. Rose Campus in Great Bend in the emergency department as a registered nurse and a paramedic.

Schenkel, the son of Ray and Ann Schenkel of Great Bend, is a graduate of Great Bend High School and attended Fort Hays State University.

He is employed by Schenkel Construction Company of Great Bend.

The marriage took place in Key West, Fla., while the couple was on a 12-day Caribbean cruise.

They sailed aboard the Royal Caribbean cruise ship "Vision of the Seas."

Ports of call included Key West; Cozumel, Mexico; Georgetown, Grand Cayman; Ocho Rios, Jamaica; Oranjestad, Aruba; and Willemstad, Curacao.

The matron of honor was Sandy Sander of Great Bend.

The best man was Ed Sander of Great Bend.

The wedding party was dressed in Caribbean beach attire.

The couple resides in Great Bend.
