Staudinger - Stanley
Linda Sue Staudinger and Richard Lewis Stanley were united in marriage July 15, 2000 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Great Bend. The Rev. Charles Mazouch officiated the double-ring ceremony. Parents of the bride are Ron and Joan Staudinger of Great Bend. Parents of the groom are Bill and Marie Stanley of Great Bend.
The bride and groom were both given in marriage by their parents. The bride wore a white bridal satin dress with a portrait neckline. It had a shawl-covered bodice adorned with Schiffli lace , beadwork and a V-waist. It had a bow and peplum on the back waistline adorned with Schiffli lace and beadwork and a cathedral-length train.
She wore a finger-length veil held by a tiara adorned with pearls and beadwork. The bride carried a bouquet of cascading white roses accented with jewel-toned colored roses, pearls, greenery and a rosary from the bride's mother.
Matron of honor was Connie Jo Schlochtermeier of Hoisington, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Jenny Waddell of Hays, Jan Shelor of Great Bend, sister of the groom, and Arlene Furrey of Great Bend. The attendants wore jewel-colored floor-length gowns with layered portrait necklines.
They carried bouquets of mixtures of jewel-colored roses and white roses accented with pearls. Best man was Darren Stanley of Great Bend, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Scott Schlochtermeier of Hoisington, brother-in-law of the bride, Kris Beaman of Great Bend and James Boehnke of Great Bend. Ushers were Brian Morton and Gary Cline, both of Great Bend.
Flower girl was Megan Schlochtermeier of Hoisington, niece of the bride. Ringbearer was Kyler Schlochtermeier of Hoisington, nephew of the bride. Taperlighters were Laken Shelor and Tara Kerschner, both of Great Bend, nieces of the groom. Music was supplied was organist Connie Weiser of Great Bend and vocalists Tami Strobel of Great Bend, cousin of the bride, and Connie Schlochtermeier of Hoisington, sister of the bride.
The bride is a graduate of Claflin High School, Barton County Community College and Friends University. She is a licensed marriage and family therapist and a certified drug and alcohol counselor. She is employed as a mental health professional at Larned Corrections Mental Health Facility.
The groom is a graduate of Great Bend High School and attended Platte County Vo-Tech. He is a coach for Special Olympics. They live in Great Bend.
