Ames - Diehl
Kathryn Lindsay Ames and Jeffrey Paul Diehl, both of Oakmont, PA, exchanged wedding vows at 4 p.m. Nov. 9 at the Renaissance Grand Beach Resort on the Island of St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. The Rev. Frank Johnston officiated. A reception was held at the Renaissance Grand Beach Resort.
The bride is the daughter of Constance and John Fitzgerald, and Richard and Patricia Ames, all of Oakmont. Parents of the bridegroom are Clifford and Kathryn Diehl of Butler.
The honor attendant was Bretney Smith of Boca Raton, Fla. Bridesmaids were the bride’s sister, Jennifer Diehl of Butler; and Megan Gilbert of Oakmont.
Performing the duties of best man for his son was Clifford Diehl of Butler. Ushers were the bride’s brother, Chase Ames of Oakmont; and Richard Noon of London, England.
The bride graduated in 1994 from Riverside High School, in 1999 from Indiana (Pa) University and is a graduate student at the University of Pittsburgh. She works as a first-grade teacher at the Fox Chapel Country Day School.
The bridegroom graduated in 1997 from Penn State University. He works as a PGA golf professional at the Oakmont Country Club.
The couple honeymooned in the U.S. Virgin Islands and is making their home in Oakmont.
