Dillers celebrate 60th anniversary
Bob and Marcella Diller of Hesston
celebrated their 60th wedding
anniversary over the weekend of
July 8 and 9, 2006 with all of
their children, grandchildren,
and great grandchildren present.

(Obituary of Robert Diller: "J. Robert "Bob" Diller - August 10, 1920 - February 25, 2013 - Deceased: J. Robert "Bob" Diller, 92, passed away February 25, 2013 at Schowalter Villa, Hesston. He was born August 10, 1920 in Hesston, KS the son of Jacob R. and Grace D. Cooprider Diller. He was President of Kropf Lumber in Hesston for over 43 years. On July 28, 1946, he married Marcella Bare at Pleasant Valley Mennonite Church in Harper, KS. She survives. Bob was a lifelong member of the Hesston Mennonite Church, and a member of the Hesston Fire Department for over 30 years. He was also on the Hesston City Council for a number of years, and served with Civilian Public Service (CPS) from 1942-1944 in Fort Collins, CO, and Belton, Mont. He is survived by his wife Marcella of Hesston, sons Mel and wife Norma of Hesston, Marlin and wife Kathy of Avondale, AZ, Rod and wife Gwen of Goshen, IN, daughters DeAnn Diller of Wichita, Darlene and husband Chuck Buller of Hesston, brother R. Eugene and wife Donna Diller of Hesston, sister in law Doris Diller of Hesston, grandchildren Aaron Diller, Mark and wife Denise Diller, Amanda Diller, J.R. and wife Chantel Diller, John Diller, Matt Diller, Craig Buller, Karl Buller, and great-grandchildren Kyle and Ryan Diller. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers John, Allen, and Ivan, and sister Lois Hershberger. Family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, February 28 at Hesston Mennonite Church, Hesston, KS. Friends may meet at Miller-Ott Funeral Home, Hesston on Friday, March 1 at 10:00 a.m. to follow in procession to Eastlawn Cemetery for burial at 10:30 a.m. Memorial services will be at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, March 1, at Hesston Mennonite Church with Pastor John C. Murray officiating.
