HUFFERD Anniversary

TO BE HONORED
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Elmer (Bud) Hufferd, whose home is at 115 Neosho St., will be the guests of honor at an open house Sunday celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.
The reception will be held in the parlor of the Grace United Methodist Church and friends and relatives are invited to call between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
The honored guests request no gifts.
Mr. Hufferd, whose parents were the late Mr. and Mrs. Solomon Hufferd, was reared in the Olpe community and Mrs. Hufferd, the former Esther Mockry, was born and reared on a farm southwest of Olpe which was homesteaded by her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Hugo Mockry.
After their marriage, on July 14th, 1923, in Cottonwood Falls, they lived on farms in the Olpe and Hartford areas until they retired and moved to Emporia, where Mr. Hufferd is a part-time employe of the Thomas Transfer and Storage Company.
The Hufferds are the parents of one son, Kenneth, of Louisburg, and two daughters, Mrs. Leonard (Lois) Miller.
McPherson, and Mrs. John (Florence) Senn, 401 Congress St., and they have 16 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Members of the family will be the hosts and hostesses for the celebration.
