Schmidts celebrate 50th anniversary
Junia and Doris Schmidt of Hesston will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Feb. 13, 2005 with an open house from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Hesston Area Senior Center. The public is invited.
Junia Schmidt and Doris Flebeau were married on Feb. 19, 1955, in Middletown, Conn.
Junia retired from Hay & Forage Industries, in quality control, after 25 years.
Doris was a registered nurse at St. John’s Hospital in Salina for nine years, was with the medical department at Hay & Forage Industries for 16 years, and worked at Friendly Acres and the Kansas Christian Home for 10 years.
The open house will be hosted by their five daughters and their families: Laurel and Karl Louderbaugh of Yates Center; Carol and Monty John of Chanute; Patricia and Randy Stauffer of Hesston; Cynthia and David Payton of Lawrence; and Paula and Troy Martin of Milford, Neb.; and 11 grandchildren.
The couple requests no gifts.
