Halin - Burek
Allison Park residents Lisa Beth Halin and Matthew Burek exchanged wedding vows at 2 p.m. March 15 at St. Bonaventure Church in Glenshaw. The Rev. Mark Thomas officiated. A reception followed at the Four Points by Sheraton Pittsburgh North in Cranberry Township.
The bride is the daughter of George and Karol Halin of Butler. Parents of the bridegroom are Joseph and Ellen Burek of Allison Park.
The maid of honor was Kara Halin of Butler. Bridesmaids were Krista Halin, Jessica Grupp and Kathy Uncapher, all of Butler; Darcie Burek of Ann Arbor, Mich.; and Cassie Walker of Pittsburgh. The flower girls were Elena Burek of Glenshaw and Lacey Walker of Pittsburgh.
Serving the bridegroom as best man was Matthew Myers of Tampa, Fla. Ushers were Scott Burek of Glenshaw; Timothy Galloway, Jeremy DeGroot and Chad Cornish, all of Pittsburgh; and John McKeever, Baden. The ring bearer was Ryan Burek of Glenshaw.
The bride is a 1995 graduate of Butler High School and a 2000 graduate of Slippery Rock University. She works for Four Points by Sheraton Pittsburgh North.
The bridegroom is a 1997 graduate of North Allegheny High School and a 1998 graduate of the Pennsylvania Institute of Culinary Arts. He works for Beattie Vo-Tech School in Allison Park.
Following a honeymoon cruise to Cozumel, Belize and Key West, the couple will live in Allison Park.
