Bishop - Merkner
Holly Lynn Bishop and Doug W. Merkner, both of Lyndora, exchanged wedding vows at 3 p.m. May 10 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Butler. The Rev. Philip Williams officiated. The ceremony was followed by a reception at the Lyndora Fire Hall.
The bride is the daughter of Gertrude Bishop of Butler and the late Harold Bishop. Parents of the bridegroom are Barbara Silhanek of Lyndora and Ed Merkner of Moraine, Ohio.
The bride was presented for marriage by her brother, Mark Bishop of Butler.
The honor attendant was Dawn Revels of San Antonio, Texas. The bridesmaid was Kitt Lange Hennig of Austin, Texas.
Performing the duties of best man was Eric Merkner of Fort Collins, Colo. The ushers were Jeff Bishop and Conrad Bishop, both of Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
The bride graduated in 1990 from Memorial High School in McAllen, Texas. She works for Vector Security in Pittsburgh.
The bridegroom graduated in 1991 from Butler High School and in 1995 from Penn State University. He also works for Vector Security, Pittsburgh.
The couple will live in Lyndora following a wedding trip to Williamsburg, Va.
