Castiglione - Pierce
Lauren Michelle Castiglione, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Castiglione of Peachtree City, and Scott Edward Pierce, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dean Pierce of Conyers, were married on July 29, 2000, at Calvary Temple Assembly of God in Peachtree City.
The bride is a cum laude graduate of the State University of West Georgia. She presently attends Valdosta State University where she is working on her Master's degree in speech and pathology.
The groom also was graduated from the State University of West Georgia and is employed as network engineer in Valdosta.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a formal candlelight sleeveless satin gown with sequins and pearls around the neckline and bodice. Her headpiece also was of sequins and pearls with a chapel length veil. She carried an all-rose bouquet of champagne roses tied with a satin bow.
Karla Catano of Sunrise, Fla., was the bride's matron of honor. Kristen Castiglione, sister of the bride, was the maid of honor.
Bridesmaids included Brenda Austin of Casper Wyo. and Dera Bennett of Fairburn, both cousins of the bride, and Sara Pierce of Conyers, sister of the groom.
Other bridesmaids were Carrie Pepiot and Ashley Hackney of Carrollton, Heather Elliott of Tyrone, and Rachel Lee of Fayetteville. Hannah Adams, cousin of the groom, was flower girl.
Honor attendants were Laura DeLong of Gainesville and Caroline Conn of Powder Springs.
The best man was Dean Pierce, father of the groom. Groomsmen were Byron Daniel of Miami, Fla., Daniel Castiglione, Jr., brother of the groom, Jeremy Dolan of Douglasville, Daniel Golden of Middleville, Brian Ussery of Carrollton, Shane Hatton of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Stephen McKie of Conyers.
The ring bearer was Dylan Pierce, cousin of the groom.
Following the ceremony, a dinner and dance reception was held at the Atlanta Airport Marriott Hotel.
Following a honeymoon to Jackson Hole, Wyo. and Yellowstone National Park, the couple is residing in Valdosta.
