Chapman - Detamore
Mary Clare Chapman of Peachtree City and James Joseph Detamore of Ft. Worth, Texas, were married on Saturday, Oct. 28, 2000 in a candlelight ceremony at First Presbyterian Church of Peachtree City. The Rev. Don Smith performed the double ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Chapman Jr. of Peachtree City.
The groom is the son of James Detamore of Fairborn, Ohio, and the late Mrs. Detamore. He is employed in the engineering department of Kimberly Clark Corporation in Keller, Texas.
Pianist Donna Wood, organist Brownie Jones, violinist Emily Plank, and trumpeter Dale Phenicie provided prenuptial music. Vocal music was provided by Cindy Van Wert, soprano, and David Stivers, tenor.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an ivory lace dress with a cathedral length train overlaid with pearls and jewels. Her bouquet was a mixture of trumpeter lilies interspersed with lilies of the valley.
Barbara Swafford of Peachtree City, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Jennifer Bigham of Newnan, Donna Chapman of Senoia, Beth Darnell of Manchester, Jessica Forney and Carmen Stewart of Atlanta, Ellen Warburton of West Sussex, England, and Nicole Detamore of Dayton, Ohio, sister of the groom. Junior bridesmaids included cousins of the bride, Hailey and Elizabeth Chapman of Woodland, and Mary Grace Propst of Decatur, Ala. Angelique Soulakos of Peachtree City was flower girl and John Soulakos was ring bearer.
Chad Detamore of Dayton, Ohio, brother of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were John Dawson of Athens, Jim Huber of Grove City, Ohio, Jack Naughton of Gainesville, Fla., Brian Neal of Dayton, Ohio, John Spirito of Bellbrook, Ohio, Steve Swafford of Peachtree City, and Sam Chapman of Senoia and Wright Chapman of St. Louis, Mo., both brothers of the bride.
Following the ceremony, the bride's parents entertained at a dinner dance at the Peachtree Wyndham Conference Center in Peachtree City.
The couple honeymooned in Jamaica and now reside in Keller, Texas.
