Mrs. Susanne McDowell of Griffin and Wayne Cook of Roswell announce the engagement of their daughter, Rachel Kathleen Cook, to Patrick Daniel Lockman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gary Lockman of Conyers.
The future bride is the stepdaughter of Walt McDowell of Griffin.
She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Faherty Pinkley of Portageville, Mo., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Harry Cook of Mobile, Ala.
She is a 1996 graduate of McIntosh High School and a 2000 graduate of Berry College with a B.S. degree in family and community services.
The groom-elect is the grandson of the late retired Lt. Col. and Mrs. Daniel B. Lockman of Duluth and Mr. and Mrs. Burton Carter of Powder Springs.
He is a 1996 graduate of Heritage High School in Conyers and a 2000 graduate of Berry College where he received a B.S. degree in communications.
The wedding will be at 5 p.m. on March 10, 2001, at the First Presbyterian Church of Peachtree City.
Following the wedding, the couple will reside in Birmingham, Ala., where they will both serve with Campus Outreach ministries on the campus of Samford University.
