Mrs. Carolyn Parrish of Riverdale announces the engagement of her granddaughter, Jessica Marie Parrish, to Phillip Carl Hiett, son of Mrs. Karen McCarty of Fairburn and Donald H. Hiett Jr. of Powder Springs.

The bride-to-be was graduated from Lovejoy High School and attended Griffin College where she majored in business office technology and secretarial sciences.

She is currently employed at Steve Rayman Pontiac GMC in Union City.

The groom-elect was graduated from Sandy Creek High School and attended Georgia State University.

He is currently employed at Tele-Tech Company, Inc., in Stockbridge.

The wedding will be May 5, 2001, at Sandy Creek Baptist Church in Tyrone.
