Mr. and Mrs. Donald Darnell of Calhoun announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Celeste Elizabeth Darnell, to Jonathan Clay Hughes, son of Mr. and Mrs. James D. Hughes of Peachtree City.
The bride to be is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Withers Jackson and the late Mr. and Mrs. Hoyt Darnell, and the great-granddaughter of Mrs. Dovie Hales of Calhoun.
She was graduated from Gordon Central High School in 1994 and received her B.S. degree from Berry College in 1998.
She is presently employed by Talbot State Bank as operations manager.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. B. Hugh Smith of Peachtree City and the late Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin P. Hughes, Jr., of Greenville, S.C.
He was graduated from McIntosh High School in 1993 and received his B.B.A. degree from Georgia Southern in 1997.
He is presently employed by Peachtree National Bank as a loan administrator.
The wedding will be Saturday, Nov. 18, 2000, at the First Presbyterian Church in Peachtree City.
