Kuhns - Prouty
Mr. and Mrs. Lewis R. Kuhns of Williamsport, Pa. announce the marriage of their daughter, Jill Ellen Kuhns, to Scott Eugene Prouty, son of Frank Prouty of Bloomfield, N.Y. and the late Mrs. Linda Rogers. The afternoon wedding took place Oct. 7, 2000, at the Peachtree City United Methodist Church. The ceremony was preformed by Rev. Betsy Haas, Associate Pastor at the church.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white A-line satin gown with a princess bodice adorned with pearls and iridescent sequins. The chapel length train was lined in Chantilly lace. The cathedral-length veil was scattered with sequins. She carried a cascading bouquet of red roses, mini yellow mums, and greenery.
The matron of honor was Kathleen Lawn of Ogden, Utah. She wore a black floor length sleeveless gown lined with black sequins. The bridesmaids were Jennifer Powell, cousin of the bride, of Summerville, S.C., and Tara Prouty, daughter of the groom, of Orlando, Fla. The bridesmaids both wore floor length gowns with empire waists in black and white. The flower girl was Kayley Holloway of Newnan, who wore a matching knee length dress.
The best man was Donald Kuhns of Newnan, brother of the bride. Groomsmen were Thomas Kuhns of Williamsport, Pa., brother of the bride, and Chris Holloway and Scott Prince, both of Newnan. The groomsmen all wore matching black tuxedos. The groom wore a black vest with his tuxedo.
A reception was held at White Water Country Club in Fayetteville following the ceremony.
The couple honeymooned at the Walt Disney World Resorts in Orlando, Fla. and presently resides in Newnan.
