Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Gunnells of Ila announce the engagement of their daughter, Julie Ann Gunnells, to Adam Scott Ledford, son of Mrs. Beth Jones of Fayetteville and Scott Ledford of Tarpon Springs, Fla.
The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Gunnells of Ila and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Paul of Carlton.
She is a graduate of Madison County High School and a 2000 magna cum laude graduate of the University of Georgia.
She was selected for membership in Golden Key, Phi Beta Kappa and Pi Kappa Phi, and is currently employed in the genetics department at the University of Georgia.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Mrs. Eva brown and the late William R. Brown, formerly of Athens, and Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Ledford of Marietta.
He was graduated from Fayette County High School and attended the University of Florida.
He is a member of Delta Sigma Pi and the men's Glee Club.
He is currently in management at Hollywood Video and is a photographer for Picture Man in Athens.
The wedding will be Dec. 2, 2000 at 4 p.m. at Union Baptist Church in Hull.
