Scruggs - Delozier
Mrs. Donna B. Phillips of Brooks and Bernard C. Scruggs of Chattanooga, Tenn., announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Jennifer Jean Scruggs of Birmingham, Ala., to Michael Allen Delozier, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Allen Delozier of Anniston, Ala.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Owen F. and Dorothy Lawhon Bell of East Point, and Louise Staton Scruggs and the late Bernard O. Scruggs of College Park.
She attended Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, Ala., where she was a member of Phi Mu sorority.
She obtained a B.S. degree in paralegal studies from Samford University in Birmingham, Ala., and is currently employed in Birmingham as a legal assistant.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Edna R. Kyle and the late Charles H. Delozier of Oak Ridge, Tenn., and Ella Mae Barker and the late William E. Barker of Anniston.
He is vice president of Sam Stewart Formal Wear in Anniston.
The wedding will be Jan. 27, 2001, at Samford University's Reid Chapel in Birmingham.
