Mr. and Mrs. Michael D. Johnson of Peachtree City announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Amber Leigh Johnson, to Chad Joseph Grabowski of Tavares, Fla., son of Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Graboswki of Katy, Texas, formerly of Tavares.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William D. Chisolm of Plant City, Fla, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Isaac D. Johnson of Fernandina Beach, Fla.
She is a 1995 graduate of McIntosh High School and a 1999 graduate of Valdosta State University with a B.S. degree in sports medicine.
She is a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority, and Order of Omega and Rho Lambda national honor societies.
She is currently employed by Orlando Regional Medical Center in Orlando, Fla., and is head athletic trainer for South Lake High School in Clermont, Fla.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Monroe Grabowski of Houston, Texas, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Earl Simon of Minnesota.
He is a 1996 graduate of Tavares High School and will graduate from Valdosta State University in May with a B.S. degree in health and physical education.
He plans to coach and teach in Lake County, Fla.
He is currently a student assistant for the Valdosta State Blazer football team, where he played defensive end from 1996-1999.
The wedding will be May 19, 2001, at the First Baptist Church of Peachtree City.
Following a honeymoon in Jamaica, the couple will reside in Leesburg, Fla.
