Barbara Ann and Howard Harris of Elmira, New York will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an Open House at the West Hill Community Cabin in Elmira on August 1, 2004.
Mr. Howard Harris and the former Barbara Ann Bailey were married August 2, 1954 by Robert Woodrough in Frederickburg, Maryland.
The couple has six children.
They are Linda (Lou) Rubin of Horseheads, New York; David (Mary) Harris of Elmira; Iva (Jerry) Flewelling of Horseheads; Sue Harris (Mark Cicci) of Elmira; Mike Harris (Jackie Mann) of Elmira; and Tim (Kim) Harris of Horseheads.
They have 15 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Mr. Harris is a retired Truck Driver from Branch Motors in Elmira and Mrs. Harris is a retired Home Health Aide.
