Schmidt - Williams
Pittsburgh residents Katherine Schmidt and John Williams Jr. were united in marriage at noon Sept. 13 at St. Elizabeth Church in Pittsburgh. The Rev. Roy Conley celebrated the Nuptial Mass. A reception was held at the Grand Concourse in Station Square, followed by guests attending a Pittsburgh Pirate’s baseball game at PNC Park.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Schmidt of Butler. Parents of the bridegroom are John Williams Sr. of Erie and Lois Garcia of Canton, Ohio.
The bride’s mother, Marion Schmidt, was the matron of honor.
Serving his son as best man was John Williams Sr. Ushers were the bride’s brothers, Michael Schmidt and David Schmidt, both of Butler.
The bride is a graduate of Butler High School and Butler County Community College. She earned a bachelor of science degree in nursing from Clarion University and a master’s of health administrative services from the University of St. Francis in Joilet, Ill. She is employed by the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public Health in Pittsburgh.
The bridegroom earned a juris doctor from the School of Law at University of Pittsburgh. He is an attorney with Eckert, Seamans, Cherin and Mellot LLC in Pittsburgh.
Following a two-week car trip down the West Coast of the United States, the couple will live in Penn Hills.
