Paul and Eileen Prunier of Elmira, New York will celebrate their 45th wedding anniversary with a family party on August 14, 2004.
Mr. Paul R. Prunier and the former Eileen A. Burkel were married August 8, 1959 at St. Andrew Avellino Church in Flushing, New York.
The couple has four children.
They are Mike Prunier of Elmira; Jack Prunier of New Milford, Connecticut; Colleen Pataky of Fredricksburg, Virginia; and Ed Prunier of Saratoga, New York.
They also have ten grandchildren.
Mr. Prunier is retired from Broadway Junior High and the Chemung County Legislature.
Mrs. Prunier is retired from the Elmira City School District.

(Obituary of Paul Prunier: "Paul R. Prunier, 83, of Lakeland, FL, formerly of Elmira, passed away peacefully at Lakeland Regional Hospital on November 25, 2015. Paul graduated from Southside High School and St. Bonaventure University. He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany. Paul taught at Broadway Jr. High School for more than 30 years. While at Broadway, he was the moderator of the History Club and brought children to tour New York City from 1965 through 1980. He was also a member of the Republican party and served on the Chemung County Legislature. After his retirement, Paul was an active member of the community. He worked at the National Soaring Museum, the Chemung County Jail, the Samaritan Center, and the Chemung County Nursing Home. Paul was a man of great faith and was very involved in the Catholic church. He also was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Hiberians and lifetime member of the VFW. He was a man of great integrity, honor and humor. Paul was predeceased by his parents Ed and Helen Prunier and brothers, Joe and Jack Prunier and sister, Mary Anne Flemming. Paul is survived by his wife of 56 years, Eileen, children Mike and wife Mary (Lakeland, FL), Jack (Queens, NY), Colleen Pataky and husband John (Fredericksburg,VA), Ed and wife Denise (Saratoga Springs, NY), grandchildren Samantha, Meghan Menechella and husband James, Michael Jr., Noreen, McKenzie and Claire Prunier, Brooke and Ellen Pataky, along with step-grandchildren, Kristy Martin-Scorse and husband Harry and Rob Martin. He is also survived by sisters-in-law Francis and Suzanne Prunier and brother-in-law Kevin Flemming. A celebration of life and inurnment will be held in Elmira, NY on June 18, 2016.
