Julie Marie Herr and Alexander Nikolai Charlanow were married April 25, 2004 at the Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church in Elmira Heights, New York.
The Bride, daughter of John and Laurie Herr of New Hampshire, is originally from Corning, New York and is a 1999 graduate of West High School.
The Groom, son of Alexander and Margarete Charlanow of Big Flats, New York is a 1997 graduate of Horseheads High School.
The newlyweds are also graduates of SUNY Cortland and currently reside in Leesburg, Virginia.
The Bride is a Substance Abuse Counselor for Fairfax County, Virginia and the Groom is employed by the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Disabilities Analyst.
They were previously married on March 7, 2003 in a civil ceremony in Ashburn, Virginia before the Groom, a Marine Corps Sergeant, was deployed to Iraq to serve his country.
The bridesmaids included the Bride's sisters: Jennifer Hall (Maid of Honor), Megan Shaddock and Rebecca Herr; as well as friends: Jennifer Pihota and Rebecca Cravatta.
The groomsmen were, Cousin of the Groom, Yuri Charlanow (Best Man) and friends Zsolt Vass, Matthew and Nicholas Mastriopietro and Sean Stevens.
The couple is planning their honeymoon to the Virgin Islands this Fall.
