The bride, daughter of Mrs. Leslie McDonald of Campbell, NY and Mr. Larry Comfort of Elmira, NY, is a graduate of Corning East High School.
She received her B.S. from Cornell University and her M.S.W. from Syracuse University.
She is currently employed as a Social Worker at Arnot-Ogden Medical Center.
The groom, son of Mrs. Bernadette Oakes and Mr. Melvin Oakes both of Elmira and grandson of Mrs. Artie Oakes and Mrs. Katherine Josbeno both of Elmira, is a graduate of Notre Dame High School.
He graduated from D'youville College in Buffalo in 2000.
He is currently employed as a physicians assistant at Internal Medicine Associates in Elmira.
The maid of honor was Rebeckah Comfort, sister of the bride.
Brides attendants were Jennifer Comfort, Aimee Miller, Sarah Oakes and Katelyn McDonald.
The flower girl was Jesselyn Wightman.
The best man was Christopher Oakes, brother of the groom.
Groomsmen were Stephen Wightman, Stephen Miller and Christopher Richardson.
The ring bearer was Robert Wightman.
The reception was held at Elmira Country Club.
After a honeymoon in Florida, the couple resides in Elmira.
