Susan Jane Tidwell Norton and Virgil Dale Brown were united in holy matrimony on Sunday, December 26, 2004 at the Jellico, Tennessee United Methodist Church by ministers Ginger and John Richardson.
Susan, the middle and high school counselor at Williamsburg (KY) Independent School, is the daughter of Wilma and the late James Tidwell Jr. of Jellico.
She has two children, both of Williamsburg, Matthew Norton who presented the bride for marriage and Heather Norton, serving as maid of honor.
Dale, a retired CSX locomotive engineer, is the son of Thresa and the late Oscar Brown of London, KY.
He has two children, Beth McIntosh, Erlanger, Tami Haman, Covington, and one grandchild, Kelsi Rains. His niece, Teri Smith, lives in Franklin, OH.
Nieces of the bride served as attendants: Erica Elliott, bridesmaid, and Rebekah Tidwell, flower girl.
The bride carried a bouquet of red roses and white calla lilies.
A family reception was held at the Jellico City Library.
The couple took a honeymoon trip to Townsend, TN.
They reside in Williamsburg.
